I'm so flattered to see my book on this list *and* in your book club, Hurley — thank you!!

All of my writing has basically come from a feeling of *not* knowing how to do it, trying to figure out how other people did it/do it . . . so it's so lovely to know that it's serving this same function for others ❤️

David Allen’s Getting Things Done was a real game changer for me!

I’m a big fan of Deep Work and Atomic Habits and I love the Twyla Tharp book as well. I’ll have to check out the others. One I would recommend, along the lines of Deep Work, is Indistractable by Nir Eyal.

Thank you so much for including DO IT TODAY! You made my week.

And the "what's making you nervous right now" question is one that I return to again and again. Let's keep moving toward the nerves!

Thanks, Hurley, for this list. I’ve discovered a couple of new ones. My favorite books in the creativity/productivity area are those by Austin Kleon. I think his easy-to-read little books pack a punch far greater than their size. Any of them are top drawer, but I’ve just read KEEP GOING for the third (maybe fourth?) time and it delivers every time to inspire me to, well, yup, keep going.

Great list, I've read most of these! I also really like Greg McKeown's Essentialism for paring things down. I have an illustration from the boom saved on my laptop! https://gregmckeown.com/books/essentialism/

Thank you! I’m surely getting at least 3 books from this list! I’ve read Cal Newport deep work and it was super helpful. I should try his other one. I love that this list is curated for creativity!

Ha, my feeling was, "YES PLEASE MORE BOOK LISTS!" And I've read 6 of these and loved them, so I'm excited to have more books to add to my neverending pile.
