WHAT IS A “LONELY VICTORY?”

In an interview with Vogue, screenwriter Greta Gerwig said, “Writing alone can give you a very deep sense of satisfaction and lonely victory.” I think every writer can relate to that sentiment.

I started this writing community in May 2020 to help writers cultivate sustainable writing practices for themselves. It’s my hope that readers will come away from Lonely Victories with a new zest for their writing lives.

"I especially appreciate Winkler's emphasis on accountability for writers and her ideas for how to create it." —Mason Currey, author of the Daily Rituals series
