Can I ask if the tracker you created also has sections for the weekly exercises, not just the daily pages, artist dates and walks ? Because those are the ones I’ve been a bit overwhelmed with which tbh has stunted me properly starting the process

Great question, Elle! The tracker does not include a section for the weekly exercises, but I always complete those exercises as part of my morning pages. Also, Julia Cameron writes that you don’t have to do every single exercise each week: and I agree with that!

I cannot wait to see you on the mountain!

Also, though I admire your devotion to Cameron and The Artist's Way, there's something about Cameron's prescriptive approach that raises my hackles. (Is this my inner rebel coming out? Yeah, probably.) I'm glad it's working for you, and I wouldn't want to take it away from anyone else for whom it's working...I just don't see myself feeling either empowered or courageous by following it.

Of course, this reminds me of the best joke I ever wrote:

"A lot of people accuse me of being a contrarian. I agree with them, which kind of undermines their point."

I'd say Julia Cameron raises most peoples' hackles! As we say in the rooms: take what you like and leave the rest.

To be fair, I live in a place where Julia Cameron is one of the local deities, along with Mary Oliver and Anne Lamott.

(At least I like Anne Lamott?)
